The Historic Woodland Hotel was built in 1906 for the John S. Owen Lumber Company which established the City of Owen in Wisconsin.
The hotel was named after John S. Owen's uncle Woodland Owen who had been responsible for bringing John's father and aunt to the United States from England. |
The Historic Woodland Hotel has been owned by only five owners since its opening in 1906. In 2012, it was purchased by Roger Wallace.
Still at the center of downtown Owen, the Historic Woodland Hotel and Supper Club has once again taken its place as the keystone to a revitalized Central Avenue. |
